Great review, it's good to see that someone took the time to do this! I have a Geekstar from crumpler, but the shoulder bag just doesn't cut it anymore with all the glass I carry around.. this one seems really nice, but I think crumpler renamed it the Pyjama Pride (at least on this side of the pond, I am in Amsterdam).
Keep the good stuff coming!

Hi, I'm going to buy this backpack, but I have one question.
What is the exact size of the laptop sleeve.

Hot damn, thanks for pointing that out. It's such a bizarre name that I guess I just kept dropping the "c". I had not noticed at all, lol. I guess this thread will then catch both "Schrinkle" and "Shrinkle" :)

Cheers,
Nordin

If my memory serves me correctly, the main difference was size (hot tub being bigger), otherwise they were pretty much identical. Personally, I didn't like the extra size of the hot tub, the shrinkle is just about perfect for my frame. Anything bigger and I would risk not being able to bring it on the plane and I would also be inclined to carry even more gear. The load that you see in the picture is pretty heavy as is, I wouldn't want much more than that!

Good luck!

Thanks for the review. I'm very tied between the hot tub, shrinkle, pyjama pride and the zoomiverse. I can't quite make up my mind. I want to buy a bag that wil last me for a long time and be able to cope with my expantion of equipment as i progress with more gear. I know you mentioned th hot tub and wandered if you saw the shrinkle along side it and what were the main diferences?

Thanks

Hi, I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the work you did in this review. Right now I am going nuts trying to find the perfect bag to use for my DSL-R, and other girlie stuff. I wanted to have a bag that was accessible, could carry some gear, maybe an iBook at times, but especially everyday items like a wallet, hairbrush, passport, pens, notebook, checkbook, and more. I wanted to be able to shove a light thin jacket in there or shirt, an umbrella, or anything I bought which was small. This bag would be used to do day trips for a combination of sight seeing and shopping. I like to carry my larger camera with me, instead of a P&S, as the quality is so much better, but not at the expense of leaving all else behind.

It is very difficult to find a bag that does exactly what you want it to do.
